Winter 2024
Cool things happening in Winter 2024:

I'm working with award-winning musician, Louisa Roach, She Drew The Gun as part of her successful DCYP Arts Council bid.

Writing on the Wall asked me to lead workshops for the ReCite health research project. We're working with the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and people who are sharing stories about their experience of healthcare in Merseyside, including stories about mental health, cancer, dementia and neurodiversity.

This is a little poem I wrote in a workshop exploring why people don't get the MMR vaccine for their children-

'This is Manchester
- we do things differently here'
Paul Hamlyn Foundation Research Project

It's year 2 of this project, mentoring primary school teachers and leaders, to unleash creativity through poetry, and justice through human rights work, across their schools. It's an absolute pleasure to work with Louise Wallwein OBE and a host of fantastic musicians on this research.

National Lottery Funding Success for Wigan Autistic Theatre Company (WATC)!

As vice-chair of WATC, I've supported Martin Spencer, Creative Director, to write a funding bid for £19, 434. We'll buy a portable hearing aid loop to share with other community groups and be able to employ creative support workers for three theatre productions.

We also received £700 and mentoring from The Really Good Business- Pie and Pitch fund to support socials and theatre trips to relaxed performances for WATC members.
