THE SNOW (ish) QUEEN
In October 2019 I was very lucky to mentor, dramaturg and direct the shiny star that is HELENA ASCOUGH. Helena is an emerging spoken word artist and we were been commissioned by Frontline Arts Festival (thanks Frontline and ACE) to make a short solo spoken word show. Helena explored The Snow Queen story from the perspective of an artist who is albino and visually impaired.
I met Helena at a Performance Poetry CPD workshop as part of Lancashire Fringe Festival. The Snow-ish Queen is funny, quirky and highly accessible to audiences of all ages. Who'd have thought The Snow-ish Queen is happiest in a mosh pit?
